Modelos de fe del Nuevo Testamento: María y José
¡El verdadero relato de la Navidad incluye varios modelos de fe!
María y José demostraron fe en Dios al aceptar la responsabilidad de ser los padres de Jesús, el Hijo de Dios.
El ángel le dijo a María que tendría un hijo que no era de un padre terrenal, sino de Dios. María demostró mucha fe cuando respondió al ángel:
María: Soy la sierva del Señor; que suceda como dices1.
A José le preocupaba lo que pensaría la gente de que María estaba embarazada antes de casarse. Pero después de que el ángel le explicó lo importante que era el bebé, José lleno de fe cuidó con excelencia de María y su bebé.
Ángel: José, acepta a María como esposa y ayúdala a criar al niño que tendrá, pues es el Hijo de Dios.
Más tarde, cuando el rey envió soldados a Belén para encontrar y matar al Niño Jesús, José recibió un aviso en un sueño. José mostró su fe en Dios levantándose de la cama y llevándose a María y al Niño Jesús, sanos y salvos, a Egipto.
Ángel: ¡Levántate! ¡Y llévate al niño y a su madre a Egipto!
