Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

MP3: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (English)

One day, King Nebuchadnezzar set up a great golden statue. When certain music was played, everyone was supposed to bow down and worship the statue. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego loved and worshipped God, so they could not love and worship the statue.

King Nebuchadnezzar got very angry with them and said they must die. The three brave young men were tied up and thrown into a huge burning fiery furnace! When the king looked into the furnace, he saw them walking in the fire with a shining man who looked like the Son of God. The king asked them to come out, and out came Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They were not burned at all!

Nebuchadnezzar saw that God could keep His children safe even in a huge fire. Then he told everyone to worship the living God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego instead of a lifeless gold statue.

*

Would you like to hear another story from the Bible?
Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, made a golden idol.
He commanded everyone to bow down to the statue,
But three courageous men said no because their God said not to!

Chorus
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
You didn’t worship the image of gold.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
I want to live my life like you and be so bold.

The angry king said, “Throw those men into the fiery furnace.”
But in the flames they did not burn.
God did something so marvelous;
They came out alive and didn’t even smell of smoke.
They praised their God who saved their lives.
Let everybody know!

[Repeat Chorus]

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
I want to live my life like you and be so bold.

Brave Daniel

MP3: Brave Daniel (English)

Many years later, there lived in Israel four young men named, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. One day King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his army invaded Israel and captured many people, including Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and took them away to Babylon.

Because they were very good young men, the king decided to let them work for him in his palace. One night the king had an amazing dream, but he forgot what it was! He asked his wise men to tell him what he had dreamt, but they couldn’t. So, Daniel prayed, and God showed Daniel the dream, and he explained it to the king. The king was very pleased and made Daniel his chief advisor.

But then some evil men had Daniel thrown in with dangerous and hungry lions because they were jealous. However, God sent an angel to protect Daniel and keep the lions’ mouths shut so they couldn’t harm Daniel or even bite him.

*

Chorus
Daniel, brave Daniel, was a man of prayer.
Daniel, brave Daniel, God kept him in His care.

Daniel prayed and he wasn't afraid
Of the king's decree.
He called his friends and he prayed with them,
"Lord, show the king's dream to me."
Daniel stood before the king
And told the king the truth,
"I know your dream and I'll tell you what it means,
God showed it to me too."

[Repeat Chorus]

Daniel prayed and he wasn't afraid,
He didn't think of fear.
He bowed his head and he talked to God
With all the lions near.
In the morning when the sun came up,
The king called, "Daniel, are you there?"
Daniel shouted from the lions' den,
"God kept me in His care!"

[Repeat Chorus twice]

Daniel, brave Daniel. Brave Daniel!

The Miracles of Jesus

MP3: The Miracles of Jesus (English)

God gave Jesus great power to do wonderful things to help people so that everyone would know that Jesus was really God’s Son. Jesus did many miracles. He healed diseases that no one else could heal. He caused blind people to see, crippled people to walk, deaf people to hear, and He even brought dead people back to life again. Jesus did many other things that seemed impossible too. He walked on the surface of the water, made storms suddenly stop, told people what they were thinking, turned water into wine, and fed thousands of people using only a few loaves of bread and a few fish.

*

Miracles! Miracles!
He healed the sick! He raised the dead!
He fed five thousand people!

Chorus 1
The miracles of Jesus are wonderful indeed.
Here are some in the book of John
That you'll find when you read.

[Repeat Chorus 1]

In chapter two of John, we find a big surprise.
Jesus took the water, and He turned it into wine!
In chapter four, to Jesus a nobleman appealed.
Jesus spoke the living Word; the dying son was healed!

[Repeat Chorus 1]

In chapter five, a sick man was lying by the pool.
Jesus said, "Take up thy bed and walk!"
That man was better too!

In chapter six, a picnic lunch fed five thousand men.
With two small fish, five loaves of bread,
Jesus fed them!

[Repeat Chorus 1]

Miracles! Miracles!
Miracles! Miracles of Jesus!

In chapter nine we find a man who was born blind.
He washed his eyes like Jesus said
And then had perfect sight!

In John 11:43, Jesus said, "Come forth!"
Lazarus rose from the dead
When he heard that voice!

Chorus 2
The miracles of Jesus are wonderful indeed.
There are some in the book of John
That you'll find when you read!

[Repeat Chorus 2]

Miracles! Miracles of Jesus!

Run with Torches

MP3: Run with Torches (English)

The time came that God sent His Son, Jesus, to live with His children on earth and teach them all about God and help them to be kind and good. Jesus loved His Father very much. It wasn’t easy for Jesus to leave His wonderful home in heaven and come to earth. But everyone needed Jesus so much.

God chose a sweet young woman named Mary to be Jesus’ mommy on earth and to take care of Him until He was old enough to do God’s work. A good man named Joseph became Mary’s husband and took care of her and Jesus.

God had told a lot of people that He was sending Jesus to help them, but no one guessed that someone as important as God’s Son, Jesus, would be born in a stable.

*

Run with torches to light the dim stable.
Run with torches, good villagers, run.
Christ is born, O come and adore Him.
Mary calls you, kneel before Him.

Chorus
Come, come, come and behold the Child.
Come, come, come and see Christ, the Lord.

Tell the others to hurry to greet Him.
Tell the others to come to His side.
One and all as you come and adore Him,
Quietly, quietly kneel before Him.

[Repeat Chorus]

Come on, everybody!

[Repeat Verse 1]

[Repeat Chorus twice]

Come and behold the Child.
Come, come, come and see Christ the Lord.
Come and see Christ the Lord!

Christmas Thoughts

MP3: Christmas Thoughts (English)
1 of 3

A Message from Jesus

Imagine that you were one of the shepherd boys keeping watch over the sheep the night the angels came to announce My birth. How do you imagine you might have felt when you saw the sky light up with angels singing a beautiful song? What words do you think would describe your feelings?

Now, picture yourself running to the manger where I lay. What would your first thoughts be at seeing Me as a baby? What would you do or say? Think about that for a little bit as you let your mind wander back to that first Christmas when joy came into the world.

Remember the star that led the wise men to Me? I am your personal star, and whenever you feel lost or alone or misunderstood, whenever you feel sad, when things look unfair or when you want to feel close to Me—look up.

Just as My star shone for the wise men and led them to Me, I promise that whenever you look up, I will always be there to lead you, guide you, and comfort you.

Christmas is My special time to remind you about how much I love you. That’s the real “magic of Christmas,” because My love for you is like magic. My magic love can turn a bad or sad day into a good and happy one.

When you are frowning, My magic love can make you smile. And if you are crying, My magic love can wipe away your tears and wrap you up in a nice, warm hug.

Christmas is all about love, and that’s why I want people to celebrate Christmas—so that they can remember My love.

I love you! Happy Christmas, My dear children!

Come and See Jesus

MP3: Come and See Jesus (English)

God gave us all that He had too. He loves us so much that He sent His own son, Jesus, from heaven to bring us the wonderful gift of God’s love.

The night that Jesus was born, choirs of angels filled the sky with heavenly music. Shepherds were tending their flocks on the hills by the town of Bethlehem, and when the angels told them the wonderful news about Jesus, they hurried to the stable to see Him. That night was the beginning of a miracle of love. And since then, anyone who comes to Jesus can receive God’s wonderful gift of eternal life and love.

*

People were going about their own way,
No one noticed at all,
Except a few shepherds and three wise men
Who came to the manger stall.
There in the stable, the baby so sweet
Was held in His mother's arms.
And high in the sky a big star shone so bright,
And angels sang this song:

Chorus 1
"Come and see Jesus, come and see Love.
He is your Savior, your King from above.
Come and see Jesus, God's holy Son.
Jesus is waiting to give you His love,
So come, everyone."

There in that small, humble Bethlehem town
Dear baby Jesus was born.
Mary, His mother, was smiling with joy,
Making sure He was happy and warm.
Sleeping near donkeys and oxen that night,
Heaven protected His way.
His birthday is Christmas, and still you can hear
The angels singing today:

Chorus 2
"Come receive Jesus (come receive Jesus), come receive love.
He is your Savior, your King from above.
Come receive Jesus, God's holy Son.
Jesus is waiting to give you His love,
So come, everyone.”

Chorus 3
I receive Jesus, I receive love.
He is my Savior, my King from above.
I receive Jesus, God's holy Son.
He is the way and the truth and the life,
He loves everyone.

Come receive Jesus, God's holy Son.
Jesus is waiting to give you His love,
So come, everyone.

Come and see Jesus.
