3D Picture: Lessons from Jesus: God Is Spirit
Based on John 4:4–42.
While passing through Samaria on the way to Galilee, Jesus and His disciples came to Jacob’s well. Tired from the trip, Jesus sat down by the well while the disciples went to the nearby town to buy food.
A woman came to draw water, and Jesus asked her for a drink. After talking with Jesus for a time, the woman said, “My Samaritan ancestors worshipped God on this mountain, but you Jews say that Jerusalem is the place where we should worship God.”
Jesus answered, “The time is coming, and it is already here, when the true believers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, offering Him the true honor and love that He deserves. God is spirit, and those who love Him must manifest their love for Him in spirit and in truth.”
You can also read about worshipping God in Acts 7:48–50 and 17:24–25.

Twelve Men
When Jesus grew up to be a man, He was ready to begin His important work of telling others the good news of God’s love. But He knew that He would someday return to His home in heaven, so Jesus needed to find some people who would be able to continue His work when He was gone. Jesus picked twelve men to be His helpers. People who follow Jesus are called disciples.
Chorus
Jesus is calling, He’s calling, He’s calling.
Jesus is calling, yes, He’s calling you.
Verse
There were twelve men that Jesus called to help Him:
Simon Peter, Andrew, James and his brother John,
Thomas, Philip, Matthew, Judas and Bartholomew,
Simon and Thaddeus, and James the son of Alphaeus.
(Disciples:) Come and sing along with us.
Bridge
Jesus is calling you to be kind and helpful too.
Jesus is calling you to be kind and helpful.
Chorus
Jesus is calling, He’s calling, He’s calling.
Jesus is calling, yes, He’s calling you.

Gideon Was Brave
Only three hundred men were with Gideon that night,
And his enemies were the Midianites.
They were a host that filled the valley wide,
But Gideon had the Lord by his side!
“Do as I do!” Gideon called out,
And his three hundred men gave a roar and a shout!
Chorus 1
Gideon was brave ’cause he believed
That God had promised him victory.
Gideon was brave ’cause he was trusting the Lord,
And the winning of the victory was his reward.
Though they were few, though they were small,
They had the greatest power of all.
They were blowin’ on their trumpets.
They were breakin’ all their jars.
They held up their lanterns, and made the enemy run, run far away.
Chorus 1
Gideon was brave ’cause he believed
That God had promised him victory.
Gideon was brave ’cause he was trusting the Lord,
And the winning of the victory was his reward.
Chorus 2
Let’s be strong, and let’s believe
That God has promised us victory.
Let’s be brave, and let’s be trusting the Lord,
For the winning of the victory is our reward.
