Note to parent or teacher: This 30-minute lesson plan highlights the following lesson objective: “Study the fruit of the Spirit: Love.” (Christian Life and Faith: Biblical and Christian Foundation: The Fruits of the Spirit-2d)

Discuss how on our own, we don’t have enough love to be loving, kind, and caring to those who may need it. But that the source of all love is God. When we feel like we’re running low, we need to go back to the source.

ReadFill Up to Pour Out” and “The Secret to Showing Love.”

Talk about what love looks like. What are practical ways the children can show love to others? The following is a list of articles that address various aspects of showing love. If you like, you can read them over the course of a few days or a couple of weeks.

Read the verses in “Crazily Cool Card Set: God’s Law of Love.” Print out your children’s favorite verse from this set, for them to place somewhere they like and commit that verse to memory.

End with a prayer for an infilling of God’s love for that day.
