[After creating moving creatures that live in the water, God created] fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven (the expanse of the sky). God created … every winged fowl after his kind, and God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful … and let fowl multiply in the earth.”
