No matter what you are doing, whether at school, playing with friends, or talking with others, you can shine for Jesus and be one of His lights in the world. As Jesus explained, “You should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”1
One way to do this is by honoring and respecting each person you interact with.
Jesus said, “You must love each other just as I have loved you.”2 You are to “love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind,” and to “love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.”3
This is how you can be the greatest possible reflection of Jesus and help others know Him.
You can be an example of Jesus when you show respect and kindness in your interactions with others. When others know you believe in Jesus and see you living a life of kindness and caring for others, you become a reflection of Jesus to others. It makes others want to know more about this great God who came to earth to give a greater understanding of God’s love to mankind.
It can be challenging at times to be kind and considerate of others, but you can ask Jesus to help you. His love working through you can help you be a reflection of Jesus even when it’s difficult.
Ask Jesus to help you to interact kindly and politely with each other and with those you come in contact with so your life is then an image of His great love. Let others see Jesus’ love living in you and in your actions.
Be His Christmas light this Christmas season and all year round!
