Coloring Page: Jesus Lives On

1 of 1

Spring bursts today,
For Christ is risen and all the earth’s at play.

Flash forth, thou Sun,
The rain is over and gone, its work is done.

Winter is past,
Sweet Spring is come at last, is come at last.

Jesus Lives On

1 of 2

Easter is a time to celebrate the gift of salvation and eternal life that God gave us through Jesus. Jesus came to earth and lived with us, so that we could come to know God better. God knew that we would do wrong and sin, and we deserve consequences for our sins.1 He loved us so much that He wanted to give us forgiveness for our wrongs, so He sent Jesus to us.2

Jesus came to earth and lived with man. He brought us salvation, forgiveness, and healing. And then, He gave His life for us. Through His death and sacrifice, Jesus took the punishment for our sins and washed our sins away. Once we ask for His forgiveness and do our best to do what’s right, God does not remember or hold our sins against us anymore.3

Jesus gave us His life because He loves us! His sacrifice brought us closer to God. If we open our hearts to Him and believe that He is our Savior, then He will live in our hearts.

On Easter we remember God’s love for us and Jesus’ sacrifice. We can celebrate the resurrection—when Jesus came back to life so that we can know God’s amazing love that has conquered death. Through knowing Jesus, we can experience God’s Holy Spirit in our lives.

Jesus lives on! He lives on in our hearts, in the beauty of the world around, and in the reflection of Jesus in us that we show to others. He promises that He will be with us always!4

The Gift of Salvation Is for You

1 of 2

God loves us dearly, and because He loves us, He sent His son Jesus to earth.1 Throughout His life on earth, Jesus helped us to better understand what God is like. He spoke of God’s love for us, He showed love to others through His actions, and He lived love. Jesus loved us so much that He gave His own life to bring us salvation.

To receive the gift of salvation is simple; in fact, there is nothing we can do to earn it or work for it. It is free! The Bible says, “You have been saved by grace because you believe. You did not save yourselves. It was a gift from God.”2

Jesus wants to be a part of our lives so that through knowing Him we can draw closer to God and receive forgiveness and salvation. He says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”3 All we need to do is ask Jesus to come into our hearts and lives, and He will!

We can receive the gift of salvation by admitting that we need God’s love and help in our lives. No one is perfect, we have all done wrong at some time,4 but when we acknowledge that we have done wrong and we ask God to forgive us and help us to do right, He forgives us and wipes away our sins.

That is the gift of salvation!

When we ask Jesus into our hearts, He is there forever. He will never leave us.5 Even if you make mistakes along the way, Jesus promised that He would never turn away anyone who comes to Him.6 He may correct us for our sins and disobediences, but we will always be His children.

When Jesus comes into our hearts, our lives are changed forever. Salvation is like being born again—we become a new and different person.7 We become a little bit more like Jesus!

If you haven’t yet received Jesus into your heart and life, simply believe and pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus,

I believe that You are the Son of God, and that You came to earth so that I could get to know more about God. I want to know more about You, so I invite You into my heart and life. I ask that You help me to grow closer to You each day.

Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me the gift of salvation. Please help me to do my best to do what is right, so that I can show others an example of Your love and joy.

In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.

Through Every Day: Jesus’ Love

1 of 1

God is love,1 and His love surrounds us all the time. It can be a part of our lives and bring happiness and contentment.

God showed His love by sending Jesus, His one and only Son, to earth so that we might have eternal life through Him.2 Jesus’ love is so great that He died for us so that we could receive forgiveness and salvation from our sins and wrongdoing.

When Jesus was on earth, He taught His disciples many things about God’s love for mankind and how to live a better life. Jesus knows each of His children, no matter how small, and looks after each one. We can trust in His love and care.

The best gift we have is Jesus’ love and salvation.

Jesus’ Love for Us

1 of 2

Easter is a special time of year when we remember and celebrate a most priceless gift—Jesus’ love for us and the wondrous gift of salvation.

Jesus spent His time on earth showing us God and His love for mankind. He manifested God’s power through miracles, and His love through forgiveness and caring. Jesus knew we could never be good enough on our own, so He came to show us how to live a life of love, faith, courage, and honesty. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, He gave us power to do the same.

On Easter we celebrate the gift of God’s love and life that Jesus brought to the earth. Even though Jesus is no longer among us, we can feel His love in our hearts. We can share that love by living a life of kindness, honesty, and gratitude.

Always remember that God loves you!

“And be sure of this: I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20 NLT).
