WatchShow Jesus.”

Discuss ways your children can show Jesus to others. It doesn’t always have to be in big or obvious ways. Often it’s the small, considerate, and kind things they do that people will notice. If people are aware they love Jesus, then when they show them how they love Jesus through example, these people may also come to know Jesus and understand His great love.

Level 2 Lesson Plan: A Time to Celebrate Love

Here is a 30- to 40-minute lesson plan that highlights the following lesson objective: “Understand that generosity is not only about giving money or material goods to others, sometimes it’s also a matter of giving of oneself to others—one’s time, skills, compassion, etc.” (Character Building: Values and Virtues: Generosity-2c)

Talk about how Christmas is a great time to celebrate love. Bring to your child’s attention that love should be celebrated all year round, but Christmas is a reminder of the wonderful love God manifested for us by sending Jesus to earth to teach us how to love freely and from the heart. At Christmas we can celebrate this love by being generous and taking the time to find a need and being the one to fill it. Celebrating love and giving to others can bring great joy to one’s heart.

Listen to Audio: A Tailor’s Secret.”

Talk about how giving, in this instance, brought Klaus and the children joy in return. Because Christmas is often a time when people get to be with their families, it can also be a lonely time for those who do not have families to celebrate with. Use examples if you have heard? of people who might feel extra lonely or sad during this time. That’s why it’s important for us to also take time to think about others, to consider who may need some attention and thoughtfulness during the Christmas season.

WatchChristmas Means Love.”

Read A Thought for the Day: Giving to Jesus.”

Discuss how you can celebrate love this Christmas, not with just your family, but with someone you know—a classmate, a neighbor, or a friend. See if you can come up with something special to do for someone to show them a little extra love this Christmas.

ReadThe Gift of Moments.”

Discuss how celebrating love and giving to others is giving to Jesus. Discuss how Jesus also appreciates the small moments we take to thank Him for all the good and all the love that is in our lives.

Have fun with Mammoth Christmas Crossword.” Once completed, you can find the answer key here.

Put into action by committing to do one thing for someone that will show them how loved and special they are to you. Perhaps choose someone you might not normally do something for. It doesn’t have to be something big.
