Write a Psalm

In your own words and from your heart, write a psalm of praise and love to Jesus. Tell Him how you feel about Him. Tell Him what He means to you. Let Him know what you love about Him, and why you strive to follow His Word. You could even start your own book of psalms that you add to during some of your times with Jesus. These psalms can be long or short. What matters is that they are your personal words of praise to and love for Jesus.

Don’t worry if you don’t feel eloquent enough. The words that come from your heart are what is most important to Him!

Boy: I will sing Your name [strum…] for lo, it is as sweet as honey to my lips. … [strum, struumm…]

Do you know or can you guess which of the "Old Testament greats" made the following statements of faith? (All verses are taken from the KJV.)

Send in your answers to mywonderstudio@tfionline.com (or use the contact form), and we’ll post the names of those who sent in the first 10 correct responses. (P.S., don't forget to include your age!)

      1. “Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

      2. “Let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.”

      3. “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him.”

      4. “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”

      5. “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?”

      6. “Let us go up at once, and possess [the Promised Land]; for we are well able to overcome it.”

      7. “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us. … But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

      8. “Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. … For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion.”

      9. “I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.”

      10. “Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”

The Purple Hat

On the imaginary planet of Nog, lived the Noggians, a friendly one-eyed, blue-skinned race of people. They wore purple clothes in a style that, to you and me, would seem rather like pajamas. The Noggians loved the color purple, and prized the tree that gave them a rich, purple sap. The Noggians made dye from the sap, and dyed all their cloth to be a hue of purple.

King Bloggish was the king of Nog. He was a grand and generous man, and was greatly loved by all the Noggians.

A World with No Courage

In the Kingdom of Scairdeecaticus, a strange belief took root. The people of this land came to believe that courage was too difficult a virtue to practice, and so they decided to abandon the use of it throughout the kingdom.

At first, all were overjoyed that they no longer had to do things that were difficult or scary. “After all,” they reasoned, “sometimes it is easier to be afraid and not have to do things that require bravery.”

They had forgotten that even ordinary, daily actions required courage.

For a short while things went swimmingly—that is, until many of the fishermen admitted to being scared of water as some could not swim, so they refused to continue fishing. These fishermen also refused to learn how to swim, as they feared drowning in the process.
