Note to parent or teacher: This 20-minute lesson plan highlights the following lesson objective: “Understand that the biblical basis for confidence in oneself is a belief that with God’s strength all things are possible; study and memorize Bible verses that highlight this principle.” (Character Building: Values and Virtues: Confidence-2a)
Read “Choose Things of Value: Too Young?” and read up on one or two of the Bible youths mentioned in this article.
Read “Eight Years Old and Making a Difference.”
Read “Heroes of the Bible: Jeremiah.”
Talk about how God anoints and empowers His followers to perform His will. Even if we may not think that we are good at something, God can anoint us for what He asks us to do.
Read “I Can Use You!”
Concerning the above articles, discuss the ways that God was able to use those who were young in a way that might not have been possible for those who were older.
Discuss examples in the Bible or in history where the following verse has proven true: “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong” 1 Corinthians 1:27 NIV.
Print, color, and memorize a verse (or verses) from “Crazily Cool Card Set: Want Some Power?”
