ReadPower-Up Devotional #11: Spirit Fruit: Gentleness and Meekness.” Do the action point on page 7.

Talk about what gentleness and meekness look like. Ask the children if they can think of a time when they saw someone display gentleness, meekness, or humility.

ReadThe Benefits of Humility.”

Brainstorm with the children the many benefits there are when one is behaving with gentleness, meekness, and humility. Conversely, list times when it’s easy to act in a prideful manner, and discuss alternative meek or humble reactions to such times.

Memorize the verse 1 Peter 5:5.

ReadThe Purple Hat.” Talk together about reasons why being meek suits the character, Toshgi, and how that attribute benefits him and those who know him.
