Pray the second prayer from “Pray a Way: School Time.” The children also might enjoy coloring their own copy of these illustrated prayers, “Coloring Page: Pray a Way: School Time.”

Enjoy the two stories “Of Jumping Frogs and Funny Things” and “Nonumbersville—a World Without Numbers.” After reading these stories, talk about the benefits of a positive attitude toward learning these and other academic topics. If you know of a particular subject that one of your children has a difficult time with, discuss what can be gained from learning that subject and what will be lost if one doesn’t learn it.

Pray for the prayer requests for schooling that are listed on page two of “Bookend Your Prayers with Praise.” In order to start and end the prayer with praise, ask the children to praise Jesus for things they like about school or for ways they know that Jesus has helped them with their studies.

Memorize one of these “Bible Promises for Schooling,” and talk about how each promise can be applied to praying for their schooling.
