Level 1 Lesson Plan: Stay Safe and Have Fun
Wednesday, April 20, 2016

Here is a lesson plan that can be covered in 20 minutes that highlights the lesson objectives: “Learn to take responsibility for one’s actions” (Character Building: Personal Responsibility: Responsibility-1b) and “Learn that moderation is a form of temperance, which is a fruit of the Spirit, and is manifested when one is abiding in Jesus.” (Character Building: Personal Responsibility: Moderation-1a).

ReadHave Fun.” Ask the children to answer the question on the last page of this comic, “Can you think of times when you did something unwise that turned fun into something that caused a problem for you or someone else?”

ReadThe Protective Tower.”

Memorize one of the verses from “Crazily Cool Card Set: An Active Force Field.” Also discuss each of the verses in the context of what is brought out in “The Protective Tower,” about how when they obey Jesus as well as their parents and teachers, they are then in a better position for God to take care of them. He will protect them, and if something troublesome happens, He’ll see them through with His loving care.

ReadGod’s Favor” and talk with the children about how even if at times they might go overboard when having fun and something goes wrong due to their foolishness, God is still with them (see page 2).
