Note to parent or teacher: Here’s a 20- to 30-minute lesson plan on helpful playtime habits.
Watch “Right Way to Play” and “I Get Along with My Brother.”
Read “Little Bossy.”
List things that can make for an unhappy playtime. Talk about ways to avoid those things.
Watch “Sharing Is Caring.”
Talk about what things your children’s friends or siblings say or do that help playtime be fun. (For example, taking turns, being kind to each other, not leaving others out when they want to join in, etc.)
Help your children write out a list of helpful playtime habits that they can use to refresh their memory before their next time of play. (This list can be placed somewhere easily viewable during the children’s playtimes. You might want to also add illustrations.)
Read “Sharing Every Day.”
End with a prayer for happy playtimes.
