Note to parent or teacher: This 20-minute 0–5 lesson plan is on the unique gifts that God has given to every person and a reminder not to compare but to be content and do the best with what God has given them and made them to be.
Watch “Be the Best.”
Watch “Instruments of the Orchestra.”
Read “The Moth and the Butterfly.”
Discuss how God has made each person unique; no two people are exactly the same. If everyone were the same, the world would be a pretty boring place. But since God has created everyone to be different, we can enjoy the many different skills and talents and personalities that surround us. Take a few moments to appreciate the unique traits of different members in your family.
Read “3 Things I Can Be This Christmas” and adapt it for all times of the year. Talk about how a part of being the best that they can be is by doing their part to make their family and home life a joy. This could mean being happy to help mommy or daddy when help is needed, or it could mean cheering up a brother or sister if they are looking down.
Pray a prayer of thanks for the wonderful way that God has made your children.
