“Spend Time with Jesus, Part 3” is a 20-minute 0–5 lesson plan that focuses on the benefits of spending time with Jesus each day through reading God’s Word, talking with Jesus, listening to His voice, and praising Him.

Listen to “Joyful Singing.” If you like, the children can dance to the song as it plays.

Sit in a circle to play Duck, Duck, Praise (a variation of Duck, Duck, Goose). One person walks around the outside of the circle and taps each person as they pass, saying “Duck” with each tap, until they reach a person whom they want to say a praise; then they say, “Praise.” That person stands up and praises Jesus for something. Then the other player sits while the new person carries on tapping the other players and saying “Duck” or “Praise.” The game continues until everyone has a chance to say at least one praise.

Explain how spending time with Jesus is one way you get to know Him better. You may not see Him, but He can be a part of your day in many ways.

Read “Invisible but Here.”

Take a couple of minutes for everyone to shut their eyes and to silently talk to Jesus about something they are grateful for or that makes them happy.

Memorize Matthew 28:20: “You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of time” (ERV).

Color “Coloring Page: Invisible but Here.” The children can post the picture by their bed as a reminder of how Jesus is always near.
