Note to parent or teacher: Here’s a 20- to 30-minute lesson plan on being kind.
Read “Bright Pebbles: Thoughts and Words of Kindness.” Do the action listed on the last page.
Watch “Kindness Makes Me Stronger.”
Watch “Little Acts of Kindness.” Talk with your children about what type of deeds they are planting.
Read “Sharing Every Day.” Talk about how sharing is a part of kindness. See if your children can come up with other practical ways that they can be kind to each other.
Watch the song “Do Unto Others” (click on “Do Unto Others” song title).
Watch the song “If You’ll Be Kind to Others,” and/or “A Few Little Hugs.”
Do the activity “Kindness Flower Fingers.”
Memorize Luke 6:31. One way to help your children memorize this verse is by having them stamp out a rhythm with their feet or by clapping their hands as they say the verse. Or, using a yellow highlighter, write out the verse in the center of a piece of paper. Have them trace out the words, and then draw pictures of what this verse means to them underneath or around the verse.
