Verse 1
There was a time not long ago,
A little girl there lived.
A tiny thing with a smiling face,
In a house down by the bridge.
She walked to school every day,
And always in her hand,
She'd bring some food to give away
To others who had none.

Refrain 1
And she lived her life so sweetly,
Cared for others so completely.
Just a little tiny thing she was,
But if you saw her, you would always think of God.

Chorus 1
Ooo la la la la,
She's a little missionary,
Ooo a ya ya yai.
It's the little missionary.

Verse 2
And when she'd meet a lonely soul,
A sweet word you could hear.
Telling that story true and old,
The Gospel story dear.
The days went by and our little friend,
She live her simple ways,
Showing Jesus everywhere she went
And His love filled all her days.

Refrain 2
And she lived her life so sweetly,
Cared for others so completely.
Just a little tiny thing she was,
But if you saw her, you would always think of God.

Chorus 2
Ooo la la la la,
She' s a little missionary,
Ooo a ya ya yai.
It's the little missionary.

Verse 3
It came so slow that nobody knows
Just when it really started.
We woke one day and looked around
And our old ways had departed.

Refrain 3
Everyone was living sweetly,
Caring for others so completely.
That little tiny girl had taught
Our little village how to live for God.

Chorus 3
Ooo la la la la,
What a little missionary,
Ooo a ya ya yai.
She was a little missionary.

Ooo lai lai ooo lai lai lai lai

Refrain 4
You don't have to travel far,
You can be a blessing where you are.
You can be a missionary,
By letting God’s love work through you each day.

Chorus 4
Ooo la la la la,
Be a little missionary,
Ooo a ya ya yai.
Be a little missionary.
