Did you know? Sisters Mary and Martha were close friends of Jesus. When He was in town, Martha invited Him in for a meal, and then she got very busy with all the stuff involved in preparing an awesome feast. She soon noticed that someone was not helping. “Lord,” she said to Jesus, “don’t You care that I’m slaving away? Why don’t You tell Mary to help me?” You know the rest of the story, right? (If you don’t, check out Luke 10:40–42.)
Startling facts: Their brother, Lazarus, died. Then Jesus brought him back to life. Yup! No big deal for the Son of God.
Coolest trait: When Lazarus died, Martha told Jesus, “If You were here, my brother wouldn’t have died. But I know that even now, whatever You ask of God, He will give it to You.”1
You can too: Got a big problem you’re dealing with? Remember, God can do anything. Why not talk with Him?
