Name means: “God is my judge”
AKA: Belteshazzar
Startling facts: Abducted as a teen by the invading Babylonians, Daniel went on to become a trusted advisor to three consecutive kings: Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Darius the Mede. He received amazing prophecies about future empires, many of which have been fulfilled and more that will be fulfilled, and also a alsspent a night in a den of lions and came out unscathed.
Coolest trait: The Babylonians tried to indoctrinate him as a youth, steeping him in their language, culture, and ways; and later as a grown man his political adversaries tried unsuccessfully to stop him from praying to God. But throughout Daniel’s life, his first loyalty was always to God. (Read Daniel 1:3, 6; 6:4.)
You can too: Be loyal to God, and He will protect you all your days.
