Lessons from Jesus: Who Is the Greatest?

Mark 9:33–35

After traveling through Galilee, Jesus and His disciples rested at a home in Capernaum. Jesus asked His disciples, “What were you arguing about on the road?”

The disciples, embarrassed because they had been arguing amongst themselves about who was the greatest, stood quietly and didn’t answer. When Jesus learned why they had been arguing, He told them, “Whoever wants to be first or greatest needs to put himself last of all and be the servant of all.”
