Based on Matthew 7:24–27.
There was a wise man, building on a rock,
His house stood strong and tall.
And when the rain came, with thunder and lightning, bang!
The flood didn’t make his house fall.
The wind was huffin’ and puffin’, the rain was drippin’ and droppin’ and pourin’.
The waves were rough and tumblin’, the sky was black and rumblin’,
But the house on the rock stood firm.
There was a foolish man, building on the sand,
His house looked nice and neat.
But when the rain came, with thunder and lightning, bang!
The flood knocked it down in a heap.
The wind was huffin’ and puffin’, the rain was drippin’ and droppin’ and pourin’.
The waves were rough and tumblin’, the sky was black and rumblin’,
And the house on the sand went “bam!”
Be like the wise man, do the best you can,
On the rock stand strong and tall.
So when the rain comes, with thunder and lightning, bang!
The floods won’t make your house fall.
Start building, building, building, building, building on the Rock.
Start building, building, building, and you’ll never want to stop.
Start building now for Jesus with all of His believers.
He’s the Rock that’s never fallin’.
