A Prayer of Gratitude: Friends

“Look to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:4, paraphrased).

“A friend loves at all times” (Proverbs 17:17 ESV). (Read also: Luke 6:31, Ephesians 4:32, Philippians 2:3, and 1 John 4:11.)

Take a moment to think of a couple of friends that you are thankful to have in your life.

Manifest your gratitude:

When you are with friends, do things they enjoy doing too.
Find ways to show your friends that you appreciate them.
Don’t get annoyed by things they do; remember, you might annoy them in some way too.
Forgive your friends as you would want them to forgive you.

Prayer for gratitude: Dear Father, thank You for the good friends You have given me. Help me to remember how every one of them is Your gift of love to me and to see each one as someone You also love.

Prayer of gratitude: Jesus, thank You for ____, who brings the warmth of friendship into my life. Take good care of this friend of mine, and make me the type of friend who lifts them up and through my actions reminds them that they are special to You.
