Mark 12:41–44

One day, while in the temple with His disciples, Jesus sat by the temple treasury box, watching people give their donations. Many rich men dropped large sums of money into the box as their gift to the temple.

Then along came a poor widow who put only two little copper coins into the box. When Jesus saw this, He told His disciples: “This poor widow has put more into the offering box than any of the others. Each of the others put in what they could spare of all their riches. However, that poor widow gave all that she had, even what she had left to live on.”
