For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11 ESV).
Good news from heaven the angels bring,
Glad tidings to the earth they sing:
To us this day a child is given,
To crown us with the joy of heaven.
God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son (John 3:16 ERV).
It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you.
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb.
—Christina G. Rossetti
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed;
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head.
—Traditional carol, “Away in a Manger”
Blow that trumpet and beat that drum,
Tell the world that the Lord has come.
—Traditional carol, “Blow That Trumpet”
The friendly beasts around Him stood.
Jesus, our Savior, kind and good.
—Carol, “Jesus, Our Savior”
Our finest gifts we bring,
To lay before the King.
—Traditional carol, “The Little Drummer Boy”
Christmas candle, brightly beam,
Through the darkness ever gleam.
Shed your light that all may know
Christ has come to Earth below!
O Christmastime, O Christmastime!
Always live in my heart and mind.
