Proverb: A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.1
A good friend is someone who is trustworthy, loyal, and caring. A good friend accepts you for who you are and appreciates all the things that make you unique. A friend is someone you can trust and who is honest with you.
Being a good friend is not only about being kind, but it also includes helping your friends to make good choices. A good friend makes it easier for you to do what is right. A good friend will be there for you through the happy times and the sad times.
A friendship grows stronger through good communication, spending time together, listening to one another, and helping each other. You can always count on a good friend.
Bible Character Highlight
David and Jonathan were very close friends. Jonathan was King Saul’s son, and David was the son of a shepherd. Though they came from such widely different backgrounds, this didn’t matter to them because their hearts were closely tied together. Their friendship grew stronger even when they were faced with conflicts.
